I had the opportunity to interview Hard Drive Author Katara Johnson. The two-time author is about to publish her third book coming up. So I took the opportunity to interview her and have her readers and beyond get to know her life as an author. Let's get to know her.
1) Since your book has been out, it has received a lot of praise and those I’ve encountered who have read it have loved it. What have you encountered on your end, and how does it feel? People say they enjoy reading it and it is easy to understand.
2) Please tell those who haven’t read your first book what it’s called and give them the theme of your book. Morning Musings, it is a 30 Day devotional to help others have a closer relationship with God
3) This devotional is helping many people, which means God is moving through many people because of you. What have your readers been saying to you personally? Thank you and I am glad God is using me to help others get closer to HIM. Many of my reader friends want me to help them start their writing careers.
4) When did you start writing, and how long have you been writing? I actually wrote a play in 3rd grade. My grade school emphasized creative writing. In my adult life I started writing around 2015 fictional stories.
5) You wear so many hats in the literary world. You also promote authors. Tell me about that experience. I love to read, so I started following authors on social media. Some of the authors I follow had contests if others promoted their books where we would win amazon gift cards. I saw an author friend of mine promoting others and that came easily for me so I asked her about it and from there it took off.
6) We’re about to launch your newest project, which is coming soon. Please tell everyone about it. (We are announcing the project at this time.)
7) What are your goals for this next book? My target audience is working women, so to reach as many people as possible so they can either improve or start their prayer life
8) What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Read lol
9) Do you have any other passions outside the literary world? Travel, help others find the resources they need
10) Do you have any advice for writers and authors? To start writing , start planning, brainstorming, however you think will help you start the process. Also spend alone time with God asking HIM to guide you through this process.
11) Final Words?????? Keep working on your dreams. Ask God to guide you in the right direction.
